Welcome to the 2013 AGO Region IX Convention in
Bakersfield, California. We look forward to seeing you
here and hope you will find the surprises of Bakersfield
and the County of Kern a great reason to come early or
stay an extra couple days. Within two to three hours of
Bakersfield are the majestic Giant Sequoias, the rugged
California Coast and the greater Los Angeles area with
a variety of activities for anyone who wants to do some
additional adventuring.
There are many outstanding organs in our houses of
worship and we are blessed with a community that
supports the organ and its music. Explore this site and

The Region IX 2013 Convention's mascot "Duffy" is an original piece of
artwork airbrushed by Craig Fraser, a world-class airbrush artist. T-shirts are
available by downloading an order form HERE or through registering online.

Monday, June 24 at 10 AM in Hotel Lobby and at the Annual
Dinner/Regional meeting on Tuesday, June 25 at St John's
Lutheran Church. Christine has thrilled audiences in all 50 states
and 25 countries with her finesse, grace and technical dexterity. For
more information click on Kern Arts/Music. Two Bakersfield favorites: The Tea Rose String Quartet, a
professional quartet from the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra,
performing "music in the lobby" on Monday, June 24 at 1:30 pm
and the Strolling Strings, a group of 5th and 6th grade advanced
string players, on Tuesday, June 25 at St. John's Lutheran Church.
